FAQs

How do I know which repair kit I need?

If you aren't sure which of the kits is designed for your sprayer then please just get in touch with us and we will point you in the right direction.

What is a piston ring?

The piston ring sits inside the compression shaft and is attached to the end of the compression rod (opposite end to the pump handle). This moves up and down inside the shaft as you pump the handle to increase or provide pressure. It therefore moves a lot and must create a complete seal within the shaft otherwise there will be a leak of air and you will find it hard to build or maintain pressure. As it moves so much it can slowly wear so may need to be replaced.

Is it difficult to change these parts?

It really isn't difficult to change these seals. We suggest doing the work on a table top to ensure that if anything is dropped it won't be lost and to clean the parts both before any after the change. Just take your time and if you aren't certain of something then we are here to help.
