Product Description
This stainless steel tank gives the added strength, working lifespan and increased maximum working pressure when compared to plastic tanks. You have a choice of sprayers within the Plus range so select from either 6 or 10 litre which allows you to have the size that best suits your requirements.
This range of stainless steel compression sprayers are ideal when working in areas where they may be subjected to a little more rough & tumble which makes them ideal for the professional user. So if you are planning to have them in & out of vans or use them on building sites or if they are going to be used by multiple people then the added strength of the steel tank will be a real bonus. In addition to this, the steel tank allows for a higher maximum working pressure of 6 bar compared to the 3 bar of a plastic tank and the steel can handle higher liquid temperatures than plastic.
These sprayers can be used with all of our telescopic lances including the 2.5 metre, 3.2 metre and 5.4 metre. The extra pressure that these sprayers offer make them most suited to using with the long telescopic lances as the more pressure you have in the tank then the more pressure you have to force the liquid through the nozzle so, when spraying at height, a better spray pattern can be maintained when compared to the standard 3 bar working pressure of the majority of sprayers.
Whilst this prayer is fitted with FPM seals it does not mean that it can be used to spray all types of acidic chemical. We therefore recommend a compatibility test when using aggressive chemical solutions. If you think there may be an issue with a product that you wish to use then just send us the safety data sheet (MSDS) for the product and we will check compatibility and recommend an alternative sprayer if necessary.

FAQs
Why is the tank size different from the working capacity?
With compression sprayers you must have room, within the tank, to pressurise air which will then push the liquid out of the tank. This is why there is a difference and this difference is called ullage. This sprayer has a 13-litre tank but we recommend a maximum fill of 10-litres which gives an ullage of 3-litres which you pressurise when you pump the compression handle. The more pressurised air that there is within the tank then the longer spray time between stopping and re-pressurising the tank. Be careful when buying sprayers as you need to know the fill volume/capacity not the tank size.
Why should I use a sprayer with a metal tank rather than plastic?
There are a number of advantages to using a sprayer with a metal tank rather than plastic with the first being that they can generally be used at a higher working pressure. Our metal tanks can be pressurised to 6bar which is twice the standard 3bar for plastic tanks. The higher pressure means that you are able to put more air into the tank resulting in a longer spray time or a higher spraying pressure both of which are advantageous. A metal tank can handle liquids of a higher temperature than plastic tanks, in many instances metal will offer greater resistance to damage, and the slightly higher weight can make the sprayer more stable when set on the ground. Metal tanks can also be easily recycled at the end of their life which is not always the case with plastic tanks.
You say that this sprayer can be used at 6 BAR, how do I know when it is at pressure?
The Ferrox Plus sprayers have a pressure gauge fitted which will show you the air pressure within the tank. This is very helpful as sometimes you will just want the most pressure possible especially if you are trying to spray a very thick liquid but some products will recommend a spraying pressure for optimum performance. With the gauge you can see exactly the pressure that you are spraying.
Can this sprayer be used with the telescopic lances?
Yes, these sprayers can be used with all of the telescopic lances within our range. It can also be used with the lance extensions (for when you need just a little extra reach) and the wide range of nozzles.
