FAQs
Can I use this lance with any sprayer?
To connect these long lances to a sprayer you need to be able to securely attach the sprayer hose to the lance, this means that the threaded connectors and hose depths must match otherwise there will be leaks. Many sprayer manufacturers use different thread sizes so we can't guarantee that these lances can be used directly with any sprayer that you may already own. These lances WILL connect to all of the sprayers on our site so you can be assured that, if buying the lance to use with a sprayer you have bought from us, the lance and sprayer will be fully compatible.
How do I connect the Telescopic Lance to my Sprayer?
Connecting the long lances to your sprayer is simply a case of connecting the sprayer hose to the lance. When using your sprayer in its normal setup the hose will run between the sprayer tank and the spray gun (also known as the stop-valve) with its short lance and nozzle. When you want to use the long telescopic lance you simply disconnect the hose from the gun and connect it to the lance. Our long telescopic lances have a thumb trigger so that you can regulate the flow of liquid meaning that you use it in the same way as you would the spray gun, you can even lock the trigger in the open position for continuous spraying.

Can I use this lance to apply all types of chemical?
No. The lance itself is designed to apply products such as biocides, fungicides and herbicides as well as other pH neutral products such as cleaning solutions as well as water for watering baskets and rinsing hard to reach areas. As it is commonly used for cleaning products it can handle many type of alkaline solutions but not very aggressive chemicals including many acidic solutions.
Can I only use this lance at full extension?
No, you don't have to fully extend all of the sections every time you want to spray an area that is out of reach for normal lances. This lance has 5 sections which, when fully extended, give the lance length of 5.4 metres however you can extend 4 sections (or fewer) which will obviously give approximately 1 metre less reach with each section not used. If not using all of the sections then we recommend extending from the nozzle end first if using four sections then extend the nozzle section plus the next three sections leaving the fourth un-extended. When not using the telescopic lance at its full extension you may notice that the spray head can slightly move. To minimise this just hold the lance steady and do not twist it whilst spraying.
