Product Description

Our Sprayer Cleaner is designed to properly clean your spraying equipment. When you just use water to flush the system, you are really just diluting any remaining chemicals. Sprayer Cleaner is a cleaning product, not a thinner, so it will remove any traces of chemicals in the system.

How To Use:

  • When you have finished spraying, empty the tank contents for later use.
  • Pour 1-2 litres of clean water into the sprayer tank and spray to initially flush the system.
  • Depending on the size of your sprayer, add 0.5-1L of the ready-to-use solution into the sprayer tank.
  • Rotate the sprayer to ensure the solution coats each side of the tank and spray the solution out of the sprayer to flush the hose and connections.
  • Pour 1-2 litres of water into the sprayer tank to ensure Spray Clean is flushed from the system.
  • Allow your spraying equipment to dry completely before storing. This includes not only the inside of the tank but hose and nozzles. It can be helpful to remove the nozzle during the drying process.

Please remember to use all products as per the manufacturers guidelines. All flush water of weedkillers and other garden products should be disposed as instructed.

FAQs

Why should I use this when I can flush the tank with water?

Flushing a tank, hose or nozzles with water isn't the most efficient way of cleaning, mainly because water alone isn't cleaning, it is diluting. This means that following a flush there will, most likely, be traces of the previous chemical remaining. This is why a specialist cleaner should really be used as it will clean the area, removing all traces of chemicals, rather than just diluting.

You say to remove the hose after cleaning, why?

There are two reason why we say that removing the hose from the tank, after cleaning, can bring benefits. Firstly, removing the hose allows the tank to completely drain and secondly removing the hose allows the hose and spray gun to completely drain and dry especially if the gun handle locked in the open position.

If you are using the sprayer every few days and using the same product then it may not be necessary to clean and dry the sprayer after every use however we do recommend flushing the sprayer if changing products. But, if the sprayer is not going to be used for a period of time then a through clean and dry will improve the lifespan of the sprayer and its parts.
